- About My Library
- Very eclectic. I'm not sure, but I think I have at least one book from nearly every Dewey classification. Need a Basque-English dictionary? The history of a rural church in South Carolina? An atlas of histology? Isaac Asimov's 100th book? A 19th Century Southern Baptist Sunday School primer? I have all of them. I may have sold some books over the years, but I have never thrown any away unless it was damaged irreparably.
- About Me
- 60+ year old retiree. I've read for as long as I can remember. Due to my mother's illness, an aunt lived with us for several years after I was born and helped care for both of us. Every afternoon, Aunt Elsie would lie down on her bed and read for several hours, with me at her side. To keep me busy, she would give me a Little Golden Book. By the time I was 3, I knew not to draw on books, rip the pages, or otherwise abuse them. I was reading before I got into kindergarten, and haven't put the books down since.
