I've kept books from childhood, loaded up on books from my mom's place when she was decluttering, spent far too much in bookstores, and had an office outside a used books cart for a few years. Now living with my partner and sharing a book collection, we've got everything from general fiction and graphic novels, to biographies and reference books, not to mention coffee-table-style art books and a stack of single-issue comics about eight feet high.

I had forgotten about this account for nearly 20 years (that sounds weird to say), but we are finally living somewhere we can build an actual separate library room and I desperately need a cataloguing system to keep track of our hundreds of books.

With a new addition to the family too I need to be able to remember which books our boy already has before I go shopping and end up with duplicates..
