Jon Scott Birch is an author and founder of Proximity Ministries, a discipleship-driven ministry that focuses on recovering a Christian’s identity, relationships, and life through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Jon’s passion is seeing people come to know Christ personally, understanding discipleship as a way of life and not as a term to define or mere Bible study. As a discipleship pastor, Jon has been counseling and teaching small groups, in churches, and one-on-one (his forte) for 30 years. Jon graduated Methodist Academy and Christian World College of Theology, and has studied psychology with extensive experience in counseling. In his spare time he enjoys reading history, theology, and Tolkien’s legendarium, coffee in hand. And then there is the ongoing research and writing/publishing of his books…
