The Red Roots lending library is a growing collection of books, journals and zines that visitors are welcome to peruse and borrow at their leisure. It features over 700 books including fiction, non-fiction (history, politics & theory, gender & sexuality, race & ethnicity, religion, education), poetry, reference, children's, art & photography and zines.

Red Roots is a center for arts and social change located in the South Bronx. Red Roots coordinates a variety of arts workshops, political events and educational resources to help build sustainable, self-determined communities in New York City.
