Five star ratings are reserved for books I believe have 'changed my life' in a positive manner. Most of my ratings are three stars or above. I am fairly selective about the books I read which are usually selected due to a recommendation from someone I respect and admire. This 'filter' usually means that most of the books I end up reading are high caliber in my opinion. In addition, if a book I start reading is truly bad I probably won't finish it. I have a wide range of interests but as a professional investor I spend a lot of time reading books on investing. My other interests are science, history, biographies and memoirs.

I manage a small hedge fund in the Netherlands. I love to read, invest, travel, watch movies, be fit, play sport and spend time with my family.
