- About My Library
My library is weighted towards books relating to all three streams of the Stone-Campbell religious heritage as well as books that enhance my understanding of it.
- About Me
- Retired in 2000 after working thirty-three years in the systems department of an insurance company.
I am interested in my Stone-Campbell religious heritage, which is an American "Restoration Movement" made up of churches from three "streams": Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), nondenominational (aka "independent") Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, and churches of Christ (a cappella).
The photo above was taken May 22, 2005, the day the plaque marking the first burial site for Barton W. Stone was dedicated on his farm four miles southeast of Jacksonville, Illinois. The plaque is sponsored by Lincoln Christian College & Seminary (now defunct Lincoln Christian University) and the Illinois State Historical Society. (Click on the image to read the inscription.)
Life Member of the Disciples of Christ Historical Society, Bethany, West Virginia.
I also have an interest in researching and documenting my family tree and that of numerous other people, particularly if they have a connection to the Stone-Campbell religious heritage. - Location
