& Lending Rules

Mission Statement
As Pagans, who seek truth in many ways; as a community, which strives to teach and learn from one another; Summerland Grove Community Library was created so that we may be better educated and more constructive as Pagans and as members of our wider community.
With the awareness that knowledge is the life-water of Summerland Grove, for it nourishes our roots and increases our strength, the Summerland Grove Community Library’s goal is to be a nourishing and uplifting part of Summerland Grove by responding to and supporting the communities’ informational and educational needs.

Library Information
SGCL was founded in 2010, and is virtually hosted at www. librarything.com/catalog/SGComLib. Material requests, pickups and drop-offs will occur at scheduled Summerland Events, or via email communication with the SGCL Staff at librarian@summerland.org.

Book Thieves Curse
For him that Stealeth a Book from this Library,
Let it change into a Serpent in his hand & rend him.
Let him be struck with Palsy, & all his Members blasted.
Let him languish in Pain crying aloud for Mercy,
Let there be no Surcease to his Agony till he sink to Dissolution.
Let Bookworms gnaw his Entrails in token of the Worm that dieth not,
When at last he goeth to his final Punishment,
Let the flames of hell consume him forever & aye.

About Me
Summerland Grove is a Church made up of solitaires and covens working and worshiping together. We believe that unity is not only possible, but practical. We also believe that everyone is different and it is this diversity that makes Paganism the wonderful path that it is. Therefore we strive to celebrate this diversity in our church and our community. We also strive to teach and learn from one another, so that we may be better educated and perhaps more constructive as Pagans. We celebrate the Old Gods, those of Nature and Mythology, as well as looking towards the Gods of the future.

Being an open and diverse church, we do not conform anyone to any one set beliefs, nor do we discriminate against others because of their race, origin, religion, or sexual preference. We ask only that you respect the beliefs and opinions of others and that you respect Nature in all Her life-affirming beauty.
