About My Library: The Senator Ben Nevers/SEL-AHEC Medical Library continues the SEL-AHEC library services developed through the print collection from the Slidell Memorial Hospital Medical Library. The SMH Collection has moved to Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA. The collection is predominantly a clinical reference library with books and journals suitable for physicians, nurses, and other health professionals. However, students, patients, family members, and members of the general public are welcome to visit and seek information on any health topic. Located in the Support Services building at 104 Ave.B, Bogalusa,LA, the Medical Library is staffed part-time by a professional librarian, who will be happy to assist you in finding the information you require.

About Me: I received my MLIS from Louisiana State University in 1992 and have worked for SEL-AHEC as a Medical Librarian since 1995. I am a member of MLA and the Academy of Health Information Professionals, with a Level II Designation in the MLA Consumer Health Information Specialization Program.
