Shannon is an avid reader, single mom, disabled superwoman (She doesn't wear a cape it gets stuck in her wheelchair wheels), and a writer of nonsense and dreams. She holds a BA in English Literature and an MS in Psychology. Shannon grew up on the boarder in the tip of Texas, but has resided with her daughter in the heart of Texas, San Antonio for more than twenty years.

Shannon's stories feature disabled characters, mental health representation, and all things queer, but more than that they also feature what the world would consider unlikely heroes. No matter what she writes, fantasy or contemporary, Shannon likes to weave what she knows and has experienced, to give life to disabled superheroes, shifters, and rock stars alike.

"The disabled community makes up twenty-five percent of the US population, it is time we had stories that represent us and show we are more than our disabilities. My experiences and my education mean I can bring a new perspective to the label of hero and I hope to do just that."
