Member Situations

The library contains books, journals, images and audio files from Situations projects since 2003 plus material that is associated with contemporary art practice in the public realm.

Situations is a commissioning and research programme based at the University of the West of England in Bristol. We commission innovative artists' projects, often outside conventional gallery or museum contexts and conduct curatorial research, hold public events, talks and seminars and produce publications. We're committed to supporting the production of exceptional new work and projects, often in response to a specific context, location or situation, and to placing this work within an international context.
