This is a sampling of kids books I read as part of my job or my grad school classes. The tags are my way of sorting books based on interests of the child. I steered away from classifying by level, leaving only "chapter" vs "picture". Perhaps I should have tried to gauge vocab level instead, because that seems more helpful than whether or not it's divided into chapters. Plus, "chapter book" can have an awfully scary connotation for some kids.

I'm an apprentice 2-3 teacher at a private school. I particularly love fantastic illustrations and whimsical adventure in my kids books. It's interesting to reread books I read as a child; often I hear my parents or the book-on-tape narrator doing the voices.
