The LGBTQ Center Library of Long Beach, California is home to approximately 5,500 queer books and resources. With the mission of facilitating lifelong learning and empowering individuals through access to information in a safe and inclusive environment, our lending library is free for all community members to use and check out in accordance with our library membership stipulations. The library book/resource collection includes literary and genre fiction, and non-fiction works on topics such as HIV/AIDS, queer studies, art/culture, biographies/memoirs, coming out, coming of age, short stories, parenting, educational institutions, youth, self-help, law, marriage, workplace, travel, religion/spirituality and military.

Built from the generous donations of the LGBTQ community, the LGBTQ Center Library continues to grow and add new subject categories. If you are interested in donating materials, please contact Info@Centerlb.org or library@centerlb.org.

The Center serves as the vital, central core for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community in Greater Long Beach, California, offering assistance and providing education about emotional and physical health, housing, cultural and social activities, and legal and social justice. We advocate for the inclusion of all with no judgment or restrictions based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
