The small library of Thomas Lewis (1710-1749) of Fairfax County, Virginia, is documented in the probate inventory of his estate, taken 1-2 and 8-9 December 1749 and recorded 26 June 1750. The inventory includes books valued at £1/17, out of a total estate valued at £449/17/6.
