The Bridge Club Library has been developed by many people over the years and lastly by Wal Brake who organised the 800 books onto a spreadsheet. It was then decided to use Tinycat so members could browse the collection from home.

Toowong Bridge Club was formed at a meeting organised by Arthur Hoffman on 11th October 1965. The Club then had many homes until moving into its present premises on 29th August 1989. The 2011 Brisbane floods came halfway up the walls of the Club House but it was reopened five weeks later. Today the Toowong Bridge Club has over 800 regularly playing members.
