About meLondoner, exiled in Wales due to the love of a good woman. Kids, cats, etc. Philosopher by training, although less, these days, by inclination. Teaching pays the bills.

About my libraryBooks that I own - that are here in the house - rather than books I have read or that I once owned but no longer do. (There is one exception.) Like many people there was a time when I thought, 'I'm never going to read these again, the house is too small, I haven't got room for them *and* the kids' and so off you trek to Oxfam. And then, a few years later, comes the regret and the rebuying - occasionally the exact same copy! Anyway, as part of the penance for past stupidity, a book is listed only if it is owned now.
Also, these are books that are mine, rather than my partner's or the kids', although at times I do stretch the concept of 'mine' a little: e.g. if it's ours; or, if it's hers but I would (or might) have bought it if she hadn't already had it; or, if it's hers but it is just too cool to leave out. Equally there are books in the house that are undoubtedly mine but that might just get reclassified as 'theirs' or 'unknown' when it comes to LT.
As for cataloguing: I'll try to keep book details and covers as neat and accurate as possible. But there is no denying that life is short and there is a limit to how much one should indulge one's inner nerd.
