- Contract Researcher. Italian art critic who works in Pisa (Scuola Normale Superiore, accredited scholar). Certified at Michael Shamansky, his writings are also used at Harvard, Princeton, The Met. 2004: Introduced the exhibition of Daniel Schinasi at the Rectorate of the University of Pisa, held on the occasion of the 5th European Day of Jewish Culture. At The Morgan, in 2008. His books at Victoria & Albert Museum National Art Library. Mentioned and supported by Martin Hopkinson (an important reviewer from University College, Oxford, The Burlington Magazine), in 2008: cfr. Print Quarterly, London, XXV, 4, pag. 436. 2012: Roma. He is commissioned to conduct research on Andreas Marko for the European Heritage Days, a cultural initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture. In 2013, the renowned Bellini Museum in Florence hosts the anthological exhibition of Federico Tanzi, curated by Andrea Baldocchi. The event celebrates the master's career with the presentation of the monographic volume published by the prestigious Pacini Editore of Pisa (2010), documenting the artist's entire evolution between 1957 and 2009. 2017: Presented the exhibition 'Effetto T' in Florence, organized at the Auditorium of the Tuscany Regional Council (Consiglio Regionale della Toscana). In 2025, Andrea Baldocchi introduces the exhibition 'Sole e luci a Campiglia', attended by Salvatore Settis, former director of the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa). Briefly, his books are also held by the Frick Art Research Library, New York (one of the world's most prestigious repositories), the Victoria & Albert Museum National Art Library in London, and various German academic institutions such as Universität Heidelberg, Sächsische Landesbibliothek – Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden, Universität Leipzig, Bibliotheksservice-Zentrum Baden-Württemberg, Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, among others. Ragghianti school, Baldocchi writes for foreign academic projects. He focuses on art criticism, in some instances drawing comparisons between the fragmented aesthetics of contemporary art and the modernist structures of T.S. Eliot and James Joyce. Throughout his career, Andrea Baldocchi has authored critical texts and essays investigating the work of iconic figures in world art. His writings include in-depth analyses of Mino Maccari, exploring his biting social satire, and reflections on the existential tensions of Francis Bacon. Furthermore, Baldocchi has dedicated studies to Daniel Schinasi, founder of Neofuturism, and the genius of Pablo Picasso, reinterpreting their works through a lens that combines historical rigor with contemporary sensitivity.
