Books just sort of come to me, like pathetic little strays that need a bit of love. That's why (1) I have so damned many of them, and (2) why there really is no emphasis on anything in my library, just things that seemed interesting at the time. I also never get rid of books, which is why I have all those out of date history books I fished out of school library dumpsters. This may be indicative of a genuine problem, but books are good.
