- The foundation of the read-for-fun bookcase was fantasy but I've started to veer into sci fiction more recently. There are quite a bit of academic books from my interests in Gerontology, German, and the social sciences. And clearly, I am encouraging my 5 year old daughter to learn to love reading as much as I do.

- I'm from Portland and once upon a time worked in a bookstore there called Conant & Conant (closed doors back in the 90's). Now, when I travel home I always make time for the mecca called Powells. The gold room puts bookstores in SF to shame.
