Heavy in things Egyptian, Calligraphic and/or illuminated, the the Middle Ages and Renaissance,and/or Religions.
About Me
Currently, along with my normal BPD, I've been fighting a battle with optic neuropathy. While I can see well enough to get around the house and do some work, the two things in the world that I love more than anything (other, of course, than the love of my family) have been difficult to impossible. My field of vision has become rather limited -- sometime I'm seeing as with as little as 20 percent my left eye and 50 percent of my right eye; and my visual acuity has also deteriorated so that what I do see is blurry. That's the bad news. The jury is still out as to whether my vision will improve, so I'm proceeding with a major remodel of my study -- new bookcases along two walls and a custom scribe's desk.

The good news: I still have a love of a husband, five cats (more or less), one dog. I'm enamored of anything Ancient Egyptian/Medieval/Renaissance, and books, both physical and digital. I love to do research on anything my flight of fancy can imagine, and finally learned I could be an artist.
