I try to read at least one book each year from each of these categories.
· History—Classical era
· History—US Founding
· History—Civil War
· History—20th Century
· Biography—a lot of presidents and generals
· A page-turner, cheap fiction—Lee Child recently
· The Hot Book—something getting a lot of press
· The Best Book—something making Best of lists
· The Surprise Book—non-fiction, but way off-topic, art, music, science, nature, business, philosophy, essays, etc.
Would like to broaden my history into more eras (middle ages, renaissance, etc.) and my biographies away from politics and war.
