I like to keep my life uncluttered, it's good for the soul. I don't like to own a lot of stuff. Libraries are your friend.

What I'm trying to say is, I don't own most of the books in my library. They're all books I've read at some point in my life.

A few are still on my shelves, one is on my bedside table and a good number reside with my parents. Some now live in libraries I've worked in, a couple have gone back to their real home after an extended stay, and even more have found a new lease of life via charity shops.

I haven't included in my library textbooks from university etc, because that's no fun! But books I remember from my childhood are there. More will be added as I remember them, and of course as I read new ones.

One drawback with the "catalogue of my intangible literary life" concept is that I've stumbled across a few that I can't be certain if I've actually read them or just seen the film... these have not been included, because that would be cheating.
