I am a high school teacher at an independent school in Cary NC. My library is a mixture of texts that I acquired to enhance my courses or ones that caught my eye and interest. I also am slowly adding my fiction collection of mysteries, sci-fi, and fantasy to my listings.

Bill is an Upper School Social Science teacher at Cary Academy, having taught high school in New York, Texas, and North Carolina in a futile attempt to get away from end-of-course testing. Bill enjoys watching all kinds of baseball (and the Yankees in particular), cooking (especially using his two smokers or grill) and reading ridiculously dense tomes. Bill expounds on various arcane topics in World History, talks about cool words like defenestration, teaches classes ABOUT genocide and human trafficking, and tries to keep his terrorism students from actually blowing stuff up. He is a proud Whovian (Tom Baker is his Doctor), but enjoys all types of sci-fi. Bill is a tea snob, a lover of hats, Irish whiskey, and bow ties, and owns a lot of books. He lives with his wife (when she admits it), his son (when he’s in North Carolina and admits it), his daughter (when she’s in North Carolina and admits it), various cats (who admit it when he feeds them treats or has the laser pointer), and a dog (who admits it when he has the leash or a pizza crust).
