China Books is a small, passionate publishing team based in South San Francisco, dedicated to sharing stories from and about China. Our library features books focused on Chinese history, cultural experiences, and the many voices that help bring China’s past and present to life. This includes titles from our imprints, Long River Press and Cypress Book.
We love working with authors who write about their journeys and experiences in China—whether through education, travel, or everyday life—and we aim to create a space where these stories can reach readers around the world. Our goal is simple: to build understanding of China through books and to connect people through meaningful cultural storytelling.
