- The library has several focuses (foci for you purists or those of you old enough to have had Latin in high school): general genealogical reference and methodology titles; British Isles genealogical and historical materials with an emphasis on Scotland; genealogical and historical titles for Virginia; North Carolina; Frederick County, Maryland; and Marion County, South Carolina; heraldry and fiction.
