The books I read and write are deep, character driven, entertaining and unafraid to contribute lessons to our world. The Lord of The Rings set me on my writing journey and opened every door of my imagination. Now, as I write, I draw on the world around me for both inspiration and insights.

David A. Cleinman lives in Florida with his wife Katrina and son Jordan who is 15. He was born in 1964 in upstate New York and grew up in the small village of Gilbertsville. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the rolling Butternut Valley hills and its rivers, forests, and streams, he began writing at age 13. A fan of classics, Tolkien-style fantasy, and literature of all kinds, his writing encompasses many genres and ideas. Characters are his favorite part of a story, both when reading and writing. His first novel, Principle Destiny, is a treatise on political and personal struggles where deadly consequences meet the heroine's desires head on. In Toys In The Attic our heroine climbs out from a dark abyss to rebuild a life and claim a future, only to fall back in and nearly drown.

My loves are literature, music, and natural beauty. I find great peace in the outdoors and its openness and freedom to explore. Music brings me both joy and insight and has the power to emotionally impact me unlike anything else. Literature is my window into the soul of humanity and our vast history and stimulates both my mind and my heart.
