- I am 56, married and have 2 grownup kids (18 and 22). I'm a professor of marine science at The College of Wm & Mary. I'm a voracious reader, averaging about 60-75 books a year, including books on tape read in the car. I am a fanatical Red Sox fan, avid traveller and dogged runner. (The 3 R's: reading running and red sox). My research takes to Palmer Station, Antarctica once or twice per year, where I lead the Palmer LTER (http://pal.lternet.edu/).
