- In true book nerd fashion, the piles of books in front of my actual bookcase are now competing for which one can touch the ceiling first. I need a new bookshelf soon, or I'm likely to be killed by a falling Norton's Shakespeare, or maybe simply blinded by the sharp corner of a paperback.

- If anyone knows of a handy way to stop buying books until you've read all the ones you own, please let me know. The amount of books in my library that I haven't read is starting to rival the number of those that I have. That's a tragic thing.
