About meMy reading tastes are diverse and unconventional, compared to what my friends read.

What makes a novel a good book, to me, is how creatively a writer uses language to create a memorable story.

I'm a fan of language. I belive words should be crafted the same way a sculptor molds clay or a painter uses paint.

Studying literature in college made me a bit of a snob about language. I put a book down once because the writer described her characters as "the smart girl," or "the wild one," or "the down-to-earth girl." No, no, no!

About my libraryMy catalog is diverse but heavily biased towards sci-fi.
