My library runs the gamut of children's books and reference books, as stated above, but also includes a fair representation of books on archaeology which I inherited from my grandmother, select books on history, self-help books, literary classics, technology books specific to internet web site development, religious books, books on eastern philosophy and spirituality, and so on. I actually have no idea how many books I own, but it's definitely many hundreds.

I'm a 48 year-old female, married 30 years, living near Orlando, Florida.

I collect books of different types, including children's books and reference books, and am ashamed to admit (since my discovery of the Internet) that time spent reading books has dwindled considerably from my pre-web days. Nonetheless, I continue to acquire them with at least as much frequency (if not greater) as I always have. So many, so far, remain unread, though.

I'm currently in the process of converting a vacant bedroom into a library/archive room where I hope to embark upon a more rigorous cataloging of my treasures here at Library Thing, at which time I'll probably need to invest in a lifetime membership, which I really look forward to.

I'm also an eBay addict, and a great fan of, and a frequent visitor to a social bookmarking website called ClipMarks, which has, in my opinion, implemented the best example I've seen among all the bookmarking sites, of a truly 'social' interface and configuration. Just a group of wonderful, intelligent people sharing interesting, humorous and up-to-date clips of all sorts, with the opportunity to comment on any clipmark which captures your imagination and/or interest, in real-time, creating a dialogue between people of all types.

Three cats rule the roost in my home, complete with a deluxe kitty condo, and often express their tolerance of our presence by allowing us to pet them, feed them, water them, and all the other things necessary to providing them with the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed. They bring us great joy and amusement, the value of which is incalculable.
