- About My Library
- I have four grown daughters who were home-educated and so have a large collection of children's books. My oldest daughter, kdcdavis, will see when she peruses my collection that I still have a fair number of her books in my house. As we are neighbors, she knows that she can come over and commune with them any time she'd like.
- About Me
- Book-lover, artist, gardener, farmer, wife, mother, grandmother. I live on a beautiful 200-acre farm in Oregon and love to spend as much time as possible outdoors and/or reading. The reading part is what I have trouble with, as the demands of keeping up with the farm prevent me from indulging in my first love (books) as much as I'd like.
One of the things I tried to instill in my children was a love of books and reading. We spent many, many hours at the library and our home was filled with books. From the time my oldest child was an infant, reading was a favorite family activity, and I read aloud to my children every night until they left home. We have so many happy shared memories of books we have enjoyed together, and it has created a wonderful bond for us. My husband is also a book-lover and can quote passages from books he read as a child, 50 years ago. - Location
