- About My Library
- All these are books I own. I have catalogued about half my English-language collection so far; I have about as many more in Chinese and Japanese, though most of these are shared with my wife. I collect books on classical Chinese history and philosophy, mostly from Spring & Autumn and Warring States periods, books on traditional Asian and classical European architecture, books on animation and entertainment design, and technical computer books, because they are fun puzzles to crack, not because my job depends on it. In fact, I am a fine art publisher who has stopped buying heavy art books.
My books are double-shelved in eight large, antique Chinese book cabinets, which keep the dust away but make it very difficult to find anything. My wife loves to move furniture, so my books have been deorganized numerous times over the last fifteen years, and are now strictly arranged along stream-of-consciousness principles. - About Me
