The books added to this catalog are actual books that I have in my personal collection with the exception of certain editions.

As writer Ray Bradbury once said, "Life is trying things to see if they work." Taking into consideration my Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, INTJ, I found Bradbury's quote quite fitting (e.g. plan A, plan B, plan C).

In Spring/Summer 2010, I began my academic studies with Wayne State University's School of Library and Information Science. My study of concentration is Public Libraries; through collaboration with my academic advisor and via interviewing several library directors, my plan of work, in addition to a MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science), includes a graduate certificate in Services to Children and Young Adults in which I hope will better prepare me for rural librarianship.

I am a member of the American Library Association, Young Adult Library Services Association, and the Intellectual Freedom Round Table. In my spare time, I blog about my various bookish adventures (Hermionish.com), enjoy workshops offered by the Historical Society of Michigan, and literature to film club at Oakland University.
