I like to collect useful things in great quantities so they cease to be useful and become a nuisance. I am surrounded by scarves spilling out of drawers, yarn littering every available surface and bookcases too full to allow any further rearranging or recataloguing. I collect books. Moving is a nightmare.

I love Modern and Contemporary Literature, particularly contemporary Canadian Literary Fiction, Existential Literature and Modern Poetry. I have a soft spot for Children's Literature and 18th and 19th Century English Literature.

I am an anxious person by nature who tries to live by the motto "be not afraid" which I picked up at a student art show before I dropped out of art school.

I read, write, knit, paint, draw, quilt, and play games. I follow politics, history, literature, art, architecture, science, law and philosophy. I live a life of hobbies. I am a jack-of-all-trades who would really rather be master of one but can't decide which is the right one.

I am understated and hyperbolic. Quiet and excitable. Sullen and exuberant. Shy and friendly. Positive but pessimistic. Judgemental but kind.

I am a contradiction. So is everyone else.
