I live and work in Japan. I teach English, Linguistics and Intercultural Communication among other things at the university level. I am currently doing research in the Classics. I am researching the relationship between writing systems and language which has led me to look at the point at which the Phoenician abjad was transmitted to the early Greeks. I also am interested in the possible connection between Luwian/Nesite and Proto-Greek.
