etc. (4), In this book (3), what it is (2), middle (1), I really like this book because it can be used when talking about holidays since it is a christmas book (1), this would help them relate to the book but also need to make it clear that their parents love them and they aren't ignoring them. (1), Reading this would be good when talking about a hippopotamus or even just for the kids to have a good laugh. This book has always been one of my favorites because it is so cute! (1), This book is well known because it talks about number and it has them in order which is helpful for kids. This book would give them some practice when talking about number. (1), The magic school bus was my favorite growing up! I would read them all the time and enjoyed it so much. This one is talking about the ocean floor so it would be helpful when talking about under the sea or animals that live under water and this book is int (1), This book is good to talk about what things start with that letter and in this book they used fruits and vegetables to do so. It also shows the letter in uppercase and in lowercase which is helpful fo the kids to see as well. (1), We read this book in class (1), and also it counts down from 10 so it could also be practice for the kids with their numbers. (1), but the little boy becomes a little blue but once he steps in that classroom that blue went away and he loved every second of kindergarten! This book would be good to read on the first day of kindergarten and then have the kids tell you how they are feeli (1), but it was explaining how this girl had trouble reading and that she was slower than everyone else so she was embarrassed to read in front of her classmates. Her teacher knew something was up and decided to make her feel better and help her by herself. Af (1), she became more confident in her reading and felt more confident in herself. I would read this to my class to let them know that if they aren't confident in reading (1), that it is okay and the more you practice the better you get! (1), This book would be just a fun book to have in your library or maybe to read to your kids about maybe friendship to show them how important it is. (1), I enjoyed reading this because this would be a good book if there are some kids that are struggling with getting attention at home (1), This book would be a good one to read around Christmas time. You could use this book to tell the true meaning of Christmas to your classroom. (1), the pictures are clear to see that the mom is depressed or sad that her little boy is going to kindergarten because her skin was blue which means sad. Well she makes it to the school and meets a parent and she becomes more colorful and happy (1), This book would be a good lesson to teach students when you are talking about diversity and traditions throughout different races. (1), This book could be talked about due to the bathing part. You could explain to your children about bathing and personal hygiene. (1), so you could make it stand out that it does the same for us and the effects it has on us as well! (1), You could use this to explain to your kids about sleep schedules and how important sleep is for a person! It shows the pigeon being drained and tired (1), it also shows them that it is not only them that struggle with things like that but everyone does. (1), etc. It would show them that it is okay to try new things and let go of the old (1), This book was good for a child that is transitioning into a new school (1), This is just a fun book to read about a sheep working in a shop. You could switch it around and talk to the kids about work ethic and explain to them that it is important in life when you have a job. Tell them how hard the sheep works and tell them that t (1), we need to care for them the way that they care for us now and when we were babies. (1), One of my childhood favorites! This book is always good to read to tell your students that no matter how old you get that your parents will love you forever and that when they someday get old (1), just take the chance because you never know until you try. (1), This is about a ballerina that is about to take the stage for a tryout for a dance team. She was nervous but did it! Teach a lesson over this. No matter how nervous you may be about something (1), This book teaches responsibility. She got a cat and has to take care of it. Could start with discussions and then go into the lesson about it. (1), I would read this to my class maybe around valentines day to show them how our halloween has similarities between ours! (1), This is really a book to laugh about. It doesn't really have a purpose but it would be fun to read and let the kids have a laugh. (1), This book is about a child that doesn't want to get up out of bed to do anything that day. I know some kids are like that so it would be good to use as encouragement to get up and get active everyday. (1), questions in class (1), but he eventually gets it. Them two live in the airport due to low income and have to make due for the mean time. You could use this book as an example to tell students that no matter where you come from (1), This book is about a little boy and his dad that live in an airport. The little boy doesn't realize exactly what is going on at first (1), This is about 3 frogs that argued a lot about who's is what. Well a big storm came along and a brown toad made them realize that sharing is better than trying to clam something. You could use this book as an example to children to share and not be stingy (1), he is just a day dreaming and doing nothing. He hopes to surprise everyone with what he is trying to get for them. This could be just a fun read for students to do. (1), This little mouse is daydreamer! While all the other mice are gathering food for themselves (1), This little book is about a real mouse that wishes he could be a wind up mouse due to being cuddled all the time and not pushed away with a broom or a mouse trap. He wishes he could switch places with the wind up mouse. This could be just a fun read for s (1), or even just standing up and being the first one to try something. (1), In the sea there is a school of little fish. There isn't anything to be scared of but they are still scared until swimmy comes out. He influenced them to come out and not be afraid. This could be used as a tool for bullying (1), This book is a folk tale about little soldiers that bring different parts of items to eventually build a cannon to shoot. (1), This book is about a night time countdown before going to bed. This could be a fun read or you can read it to your students to demonstrate a night time routine and impliment that into a morning routine as well. (1), and end or even understand the main idea of a story. (1), he ate a leaf and suddenly felt better and then went into a cocoon and eventually turned into a beautiful butterfly! This book could be used to help students understand the beginning (1), This book is about a hungry caterpillar that was so hungry that he just ate and ate and ended up eating junk food. After eating all that junk food (1), he is a small guy with a very loud voice. You could use this to encourage kids to have a big voice about different things such as standing up for someone getting bullied (1), This would be a really good book to read to them about voting and why it is important. (1), has nine lives but has used up eight of them and is on his ninth and last life where he wants to make it last (1), like all cats (1), An unlucky and miserable cat who (1), it turns out to be the best Halloween ever. This would be good to read on halloween. (1), In this story Little Witch was too good and her mother punishes her by making her stay home on Halloween night when the rest of the witches go out. She is sad but three little trick or treaters come to the door (1), but it is about the author that takes us on a journey through the night. I would just read this as a fun book. (1), This book is a little different (1), This book is about a cat that tries to influence these kids to play and get wild but the kids don't want to. This could be used to let children know to behave and not misbehave so they don't get in trouble. (1), but this would be a fun read to do with students. (1), Easy book to grasp onto because of it rhyming (1), Rhyming book for sure. Doesn't really serve a purpose but to practice rhyming or maybe doing an author study. (1), This is a rhyming book so it would be easy for kids to grasp onto when reading. My mentor teacher used this book as a character day and they studied Dr. Seuss. It would be good to do that or when learning about rhyming. (1), This book rhymes a lot and it talks about feet. You could introduce basic body parts with this book when you are teaching your students. (1), You could read this on Valentine's day or before. When they are younger they think that Valentine's is nasty because it's about love and boyfriends/girlfriends (1), but it doesn't always have to be like that which you could state. This could help their "coodies". (1), always think about what you say to them and always make up. (1), This book could be used to study authors since there is so many of them. This book was about a mouse that went to the movies and got the idea to decorate a christmas tree and do all these things to get ready for christmas. You could do a lesson on christm (1), you can use this book when learning about letters and what things start with that letter such as a goat for the letter "G". There are many other books as well but I feel that it would be good for kindergarteners. (1), etc. but no matter who you are everyone can be friends and feel welcome. (1), This book was about people of different races (1), This little book would be great to use when teaching students to be nice because everyone needs a friend and wants to feel welcome. (1), This book would be good to practice the alphabet or learn a new letter in the alphabet. (1), but always ending up loving them in the end no matter what. (1), This book is talking about being mad at their mom (1), have a good day (1), This would be a good one to read about teaching manners. Teaching your students to say thank you (1), This would be a good read to get into the subject of what your students want to be when they grow up and getting to know them. You could also lead this book into a career day that could happen for the students. (1), and how to celebrate it. Also maybe introduce that you might have a valentines day party for the class. (1), This book would be good to read when you are trying to teach over valentines day (1), and how to celebrate it. (1), This book would be good to read when you are trying to teach over mothers day (1), When reading this book (1), but this book was about a cat that was originally at one home and his family left so he wondered to another families house to get some food. The cat ended up having two homes and two names due to the families thinking it was their cat. (1), This book would be good to read when you are learning about what St. Patricks day is and how we all celebrate it. (1), Read this book on the 100th day of school! (1), and following your heart on whatever you want to do. (1), chasing their dreams (1), but this could be talking about diversity (1), This would be a better read for an older group of kids because it is kind of long (1), Any children that got adopted or are in foster care would relate to this book very well. This book talks about this little girl that got adopted and is loved no matter what her skin color is (1), This book could be read for diversity and showing children that even people across the world still have dreams just like them and also teaches them to follow them no matter what! It also uses calligraphy which you could teach them that vocabulary word. (1), This book is a good read for children that my be going through a divorce. This will show them that it is okay and it may be sad but it will work out. (1), For this book (1), you're welcome (1), colors (1), house (1), race (1), This is a fun read (1), the girl thinks that her family is poor and that she needs all these things to make her happy which isn't true. Her family tried to tell her that but she ended up learning it in the end. This would be good to red to children about no matter your "status" (1), This is really just a fun read to do. It's about a little pancake that is eating a pancake and enjoys it. (1), This personally was not my favorite (1), country (1), Talks about how he sometimes wishes he could trade his parents but at the end of the day he wouldn't. Good lesson to teach about even though you may be mad at someone (1), This book is talking about body parts and why they are important. This book could be used as a discussion and could have discussions about why those parts are important on your body. (1), just words. Would be good for bringing out the child's imagination. (1), but it really draws out the imagination in you. You have to picture what is going on just based off of reading the book. There are no pictures or anything (1), I could see where this would get boring to students (1), but it was a really cute story. This would be just a fun read around Halloween time or even demonstrating kindness to others. (1), I read this book for a book share and it was kind of lengthy for kindergarteners (1), You can use this in the classroom by demonstrating how seasons change and learning about that new season which would be autumn. (1), This book talked about a young boy that wanted to be an artist/architect and pursued his dreams. You can talk to your kids about chasing their dreams no matter what and use this book as an example to get started. (1), This book is about a boy and a girl that go on an adventure and eventually find new things and become friends with animals. This book could be used when talking about authors. (1), This book could be used when trying to tell your students that they are special and important. The lion demonstrates the child and how big that he can be. (1), but it talks about a routine that the dinosaur does and that could get the students to have a routine when they go to school like the dino character. (1), have them give the seller the money and give the customer the change. (1), as long as you have your family and friends. (1), This book would be good for practicing math skills. You could use manipulatives to help as well. Have a customer and a seller (1), you could get nothing at all. (1), This book talks about sharing and then being happy with what you receive even if it is a little compared to others. This could teach the students about sharing and being happy that you even get a slice (1), This book would be good to teach your students about different races and their traditions that they do compared to ours (1), but you can use this during christmas time or learning about the alphabet but in christmas form. (1), it is about the alphabet (1), but it uses fun words such as "zapped". This keeps it interesting and you can engage students in this very well. This would be fun to do when learning about the alphabet. (1), This is an alphabet book (1), and then more and more people/animals starting to come and take a nap as well. This would be just a fun read to do with your students. (1), it was about one person taking a nap (1), or wanting something fun to just read. (1), This is a fun read if you are learning about the author (1), but fortunately we found the key". This book went back and forth between those but it was a good little book that was interesting. You might can teach a lesson on the word unfortunately and fortunately. (1), This was a good rhyming book that would say "unfortunately the door was locked (1), we should all love equally and do not judge others due to where they live or come from. (1)
