Books I bought, books I was given, books I've inherited, books I've had since childhood, books I've had for decades and books that are new, books I was assigned in college, books I bought by the box to sell on Amazon and decided to keep, books I got at used bookshops and book sales, books I borrowed and read for free when I worked at Barnes & Noble, library books. Novels, histories, biographies, autobiographies, memoirs; books about war, about human emotions and psychology, books about film, about theater, about famous actors and singers; cheap mass-market paperbacks and hardcover first editions (not always in the best of shape); beach reading and award-winning literary fiction; textbooks of all kinds, including on subjects that I'll never understand; computer guidebooks, reference books, books about writing and editing and freelancing and making lots of money; self-help books, classics, Victorian novels, mysteries, and quirky indescribables; books about Jewish history, traditions, and observance; Torah commentaries and the Hebrew bible in regular and study editions. And more I've forgotten, no doubt.
