- About 25 years ago, I cut this quote out of a Readers Digest magazine; "The greatest gift is the passion for reading, it is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It brings moral illumination." I'd like to instill the passion for reading in every child.
