- All the books here are for families living overseas. They are free of charge. I do ask that you pay for postage. My suggestion is to have family or friends bring them over to you and your family on a visit. I can mail the books anywhere is the US (or overseas).
Don't know much about kid's books? Need age or gender appropriate material? Please contact me and I can make recommendations. The classics tag and the Caldecott medal (best picture book each year) or Newbery Award (best chapter book each year since 1922) is a good place to start. For a child learning to read, check out early readers, and for the child starting to read chapter books, look for the tags "easy chapter" or the "Magic Tree House" books. All the books in my collection are in here because I think they are great books and have read most of them. As I said, I can help, if the list is too overwhelming. Remember to check back regularly as I often add books to the list on a weekly basis. - About Me
- My name is Gail O'Connor. I grew up in France as an MK and loved receiving books or picking up books in used bookstores while on holiday in England. After moving to the US, and having a family, I re-discovered and explored the world of children's books, many for the first time. My passion for reading has created a desire to share books with others, especially those living overseas who don't have access to this world. I have 3 children, 2 in college and one in high school. They all love reading and have read many of the books I have available. I collect books at garage sales, book sales and thrift stores to be able to send them to families overseas who need them.
