Five bookshelves reaching almost to the ceiling of my study, laden with a pretty good variety of books from novels to non-fiction to books about the early colonial days in Africa.

I am a 50-something Scorpio who works in IT and lives in South Africa. I write creatively for my own pleasure and read for the same reason. I have a passion for Africa, its past and its present, and believe this continent is much maligned and misunderstood. It has been burdened too often by leaders who sought only to enrich themselves, and foreigners who were only too happy to help them do that to achieve their own ends.
