A lot of the books in my library are books that I've adored as a kid and couldn't bear to give away. Neil Gaiman is my favorite author; I absolutely adore anything he writes. Another one of my favorites is Clive Barker. I like both his more "hard core horror" work and his lighter stuff (well, by comparison) like Weaveworld and the Abarat series. Julie Marillier is a fantastic historical fiction/myth writer whose books do have romance in them, but just in the right quantities that I can stomach. Susanna Clarke is also very good; her writing style is very refreshing to me. I'm constantly looking for a new author or a new book. I'm never without something to read.

I'm a college freshman studying Equine Studies at Delaware Valley College. My dream job would be training and breaking young horses one day. I've loved reading my entire life. I was the kind of kid whose parents said "Laura...put down the book for once!" instead of "read a book for once!" I cataloged my books as an attempt at organization. Maybe this attempt will ooze out to other aspects of my life. One can only hope.
