Grades K through 12th. (1), This book could be used with young readers because of the repetitions of "Who me (1), couldn't be!" and "Mmm... Oh!... Now I know..." as on each page skunk thinks he has solved the mystery of the missing cookies. Clues on each page help students predict which friend of skunk will appear on the next page. The happy ending (1), with all the friends sharing the cookies (1), brings the story to a warm conclusion. K-2nd. (1), I would read this book the very first week of school. It explains the manners we use in school (raising our hand (1), being a good listener. K-2nd. (1), This is a good book for young readers. It helps with drawing conclusions. The pictures are great for the reader to use as context clues. K-1st. (1), This book is a good book to use with a fire prevention unit. The spelling canine wards off a fire. Great book for young readers. K-2nd. (1), This book would be a good book for introducing area and perimeter. I would enjoy reading this to a class of 3rd graders before a math unit. 3rd-5th grade (1), it has rich vocabulary. It stresses the importance of friendship. I would read this during an ocean/maring theme. K-3rd. (1), expressing a need (1), This is a fun book to read (1), roger is no ordinary pirate. This book is a good book for drawing conclusions and it has rich vocabulary for young readers. K-4th. (1), I would introduce this book around election time. It is filled with humor and it teaches the kids about voting. K-3rd. (1), This is a good book for young readers and ESL students (1), lots of rhyming words and great pictures. K-3rd (1), Great book about minding your own business. Kids can relate because they go through a tattling stage. (1), Great book for teaching poetry. This book is filled with humor. The boy starts off not liking poetry (1), but by the end of the book he's writing poetry. 3rd-6th grade. (1), Great book for transitional readers. A book about adventures and a wonderful series. This book would also be good for predictions and drawing conclusions. Grades4t-6th. (1), maybe right after spring break or Christmas break. 2nd-5th grade. (1), describing their feelings (1), This book is good for any reader. It helps with problem solving (1), sharing (1), science vocabulary. 1st-4th grade. (1), helping others (1), home problems (1), friendship issues (1), I like this book. I think it sheds light on thinking too highly of yourself. I really liked the colorful pictures and the glitter scales. I would use this book when discussing character traits. PreK-2nd grade. (1), I really enjoyed this book. I liked the fact that you got to choose the type of ending (happy or sad). I think this book would be good for drawing conclusions. K-4th grade. (1), could definately relate to this book. K-4th grade. (1), This book was really cute and hysterically funny. It really touches on character traits and acceptance. Kids today (1), I read this to my Kindergarten class and all the kids could relate to this book. Most of them were loosing their baby teeth as well. I think this book would be good to teach with character traits (francine is really bossy). It could also be taught with he (1), I usually really enjoy this Jan Brett's work but this book was just "ok". I did however do a puzzler strategy with a class of Kindergarteners and they really loved it. I think the book really touches on being thankful for what you have. It also points out (1), This book is very informational. It could be taught with a science lesson on weather and storms. It has lots of rich (1), This book is great for drawing conclusions and reading with expression. I would read this book during the month of February (1), This is a great book to teach young readers about giving and receiving compliments. Kids could identify with this book because it talks about being nice and not bullying your friends/classmates. It would be good to introduce at the beginning of the year. (1), when we celebrate Lincoln's birthday. K-2nd grade. (1), This book is adorable. I like the bright and colorful pictures. I would definately use this book while teaching a theme about ocean and ocean life. PreK-2nd grade. (1), This book is fantastic! This book could be read while doing a thematic unit on traveling. I also like this book for reading with expression. K-2nd grade. (1), I enjoyed reading this book. I think its a really good book for forming friendships. I would read this book on a child's birthday. K-2nd grade. (1), This is a good book to teach the way author's use transitions and questions that pull the reader deeper into the story. !st-4th grade. (1), A great read! A book that has great illustrations. It also shows how one little girl made her own fun (1), when her brother told her she was just too little! K-3rd grade. (1), This book is great for reading with expression as well as character traits and friendships. K-3rd grade. (1), Great book that touches on pet responsibilites. Lulu has more adventures. Great illustrations! (1), I think this book is good for acceptance. She just wants to be a "normal" kid and do "normal" things. I think there might be similarities between Tallulah and Tori Spelling. K-3rd grade. (1), An awesome tale of a little mouse. This book is filled with adventure! It also introduces homographs. This book would be good to teach with a traveling unit (1)
