The ratings are my own opinions. 2.5 is average: I didn't hate this book, but it wasn't anything special either. 0.5 is reserved for the books I hated so much I didn't finish them. Anything else is just relative to average, and depends on all sorts of things: my mental state at the time of reading, distractions, enjoyment, and quality of writing.
