About My Library
Catalog of what I've read, what I'm reading and what I'd like to read. My main purpose is to track what I read in a year but over time I'd like to catalog everything I can recall reading.
About Me
I always have a book (or three) at hand! I recently purchased a Nook, which I fastly fell in love with but I still read and treasure "real" books as well. I've tried audiobooks but I tend to daydream and lose my place.

My academic background is in Gender Studies and in Counseling Psychology and I'm currently a social worker, so my library reflects many tomes from those areas. I'm also an avid cook and cookbook collector and love to read about religious and spiritual practices. I've historically read modern literature, classic literature and young adult fiction. In recent years, thanks to my husband, I have ventured more into fantasy, science/speculative fiction and historical fiction. My "no thanks" genres, with a few exceptions, are romance, western, chick lit and political science.
