About meI'm in my early 30s, somewhat socially awkward and I'm afraid never going to fully grow up. I enjoy reading a lot, although I’m not a very fast reader. I've been mostly reading fiction but would like to explore other genres as well. I live in Maryland with my husband and our now three basset hounds and three cats.

About my libraryMy library is relatively small and could stand a little more variety. It includes books I own with a few old favourite titles thrown in and is a work in progress.

Hi Elena, Magnificent! What a lovely thought. Thank you.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Hyperbole -- the one about moving? "I'm magical! I can make my own food!" What dog lover hasn't torn their hair out over that one!

Lucy
Welcome Elena, I enjoyed your description of 'a dog who thinks he's a cat' -- and I love what you are reading -- The Moviegoer is one of my favorite books (yeah, I have hundreds of those, but....). We love dogs and books, so that feels like a connection right there. And second hand bookshops! Our book ratio is amazing, I have read almost half of what you have listed here, which is unusual. I'm presently on a big sci-fi/fan/space opera (which I abbreviate to sp/op) kick, but I'm still chugging along in other departments too.

If you haven't come across Hyperbole and a Half yet, you will enjoy this (doggy funny): http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/11/dogs-dont-understand-basic-concept...
