About My Library
I almost always own the books listed here; if not, I have my reasons for including it. The editions are the ones most resembling those on my shelves. The list you see here is only a small portion of a haphazard thing grown mainly out of used bookstores, the sci-fi and fantasy sections, unreturned library borrowings, and things recommeneded to me by other people.

When giving serious answers, Keats and Joyce are usually among my favorite authors; depending on the mood, Murakami and Ishiguro can be safely added. When it comes to less formal occasions, Card, Simmons, and Gaiman, without question.

The best poem ever written is "To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time," by Robert Herrick. Just so you know.
About Me
The destruction or debinding of old hardcover books, especially those of value, for any reason (including but not limited to the removal of maps or illustrations) is the sort of vandalism that should be punished with hefty jail sentences and possibly torture.

The destruction or debinding of books, for any reason, is also vandalism, and at the very least should result in the perpetrator being shunned by society.

Writing in books, or folding the page to mark your place (and sometimes bending the spine to keep it marked) is fine (as long as the book is of sufficiently recent edition, and/or not really of value or interest). Sometimes, it is necessary and ought to be encouraged.

The writing of humorous limericks for other people to find in the back of library books is a social service.

I think Objectivism is a load of crap, Marxism too narrow-minded a philosophy, and proselytization, especially by Christians, makes me very angry.

E-books and digital libraries are nice and all, but nothing beats a good, expansive print library (just in case the power goes out, the batteries die, or somebody explodes a nuclear bomb high in the atmosphere directly overhead generating a massive EMP shockwave).
