- About My Library
- Don't really have much of a personal library--use the public library for just about everything.
- About Me
- The earliest books I remember reading myself and loving were the Bobbsey Twin series and a series of animal books by Thornton Burgess. A Swiss Family Robinson by Johan David Wyss was my very favorite children's book for forever. Must read children's books disovered as as adult are Love You Forever, by Robert Munsch, A Wrinkle in Time series by ... Madeline L'Engle and The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster.
Nowadays I mostly read mysteries, including Jonathan Kellerman and Kathy Reichs, along with (where do I start?) Peter Bowen, Lee Child, C.J. Box, Robin Cook, Tess Gerritsen, Kate Wilhelm, Marcia Muller, John Sanford. I love to listen to audiobooks by Robert B. Parker and Janet Evanovich. My non-mystery favorites are Jodi Picoult, Elizabeth Berg, and Jacqueline Mitchard. Recent favorite read are The Soul of a Horse, by Joe Camp; The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Ann Shaffer; and The Girl Who Played with Fire, by Stieg Larsson. Don't have a very large personal library considering my 40 career library asa librarian. Mostly checked books out from libraries. - Memberships
