About meMy love of reading started when I was young. My dad used to read "Reader's Digest" as far back as I can remember.I remember reading the whole Jacque Cousteau collection at the library when I was about 11 yrs old which gave a poor innercity black kid an interest in oceanography and scuba diving. I have always been interested in history but never could bring myself to read specifically about slavery in America. Now at 50 I have been reading lots of Nonfiction history about slavery as well as many fictional/historic accounts.
