When my favorite authors could not write fast enough to keep up with my voracious appetite for new books, I started looking for new authors. I stumbled across Hidden Gems which provides Advanced Reader Copies in exchange for honest reviews. Offering new authors and some old favorites too, I was hooked. I love LibraryThing for keeping me organized. I include book reviews when I have submitted them on Amazon or Goodreads. I also add the DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW to help me remember which books I’ve read. Hidden Gems leads me to genres outside of my normal reading patterns. So, my eclectic reading list is a mess. I try to consistently tag my books. My highest recommendation is “Read More”, meaning I want to read lots more from that author.

About Me

An avid reader, I truly started reading in earnest in my summer treehouse. Hot weather and no AC or TV would send me to a quiet cool place to lose myself in wild adventures. Or at least they seemed wild to a middle school adolescent. Some 50 years later, I still crave that escape. I am married to my high school sweetheart who is slowly catching the thirst for reading. My favorite cat lovingly supports my habit, quietly purring in my lap while I venture far into the unknown. Semi-retired, I have a little more time to indulge. The invention of the Kindle and the Kindle app keeps me going, waiting in line, waiting in doctor offices, or just relaxing. I love being to read across many platforms without losing my place.
