- Almost exclusively non-fiction. Just a few select fiction books. And almost exclusively hardback books. Anything polar gets my attention. Survival stories, especially those involving the sea. Also anything about human remains (yes, dead people), burial rituals, graveyards, mummies. Also history that is well written and biographies.

- I love backpacking and seakayaking and alway bring a book to read. I love reading and I am a book-aholic. Most of my kayaking has been in Alaska and in 2003 I backpacked 1700 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail.
