A compelling reflection on one of the most underrated unifying objects of childhood - the school bus. Appreciate Crew's exploration of diversity within sameness.
Any review less than 5 stars has to have a caveat saying that this work is a monumental undertaking, and certainly I have a great respect for Martyn.
That said, I think his argument that Galatians is primarily a polemic against his competitors leaves some of the more interesting arguments aside.

This book was recommended by a professor who said that one of the biggest issues facing men in our society is that they have lost their ability to love themselves and in turn others, and suggested this book.
As someone who has a young son, I want him to feel like he can love how he wants, and be emotionally sensitive. When the time is right, he will get this book from me. If only I had received it earlier.

Very thankful to have read this book. Forces the reader to confront institutional bias and how it coddles the designer at the expense of the oppressed. This should not cause one to despair, but focus on how to reshape his or her lens to engage their culture.
You have to read it for what it is. It's not a novel, but meant to be a compliment to a fictional UN report. In that light, I think it becomes a well designed concept. I just felt like it was rushed at the end.
This was an enjoyable "on the way to vacation" read, but I felt the ending was abrupt and contrived. I feel like Mr. O'Nan gave up.
One of the books that shaped my worldview the most.
This was my least favorite of the Sedaris books I've read. I think because it's a hackneyed premise, and never seems to come off quite the way his other collections do.
I'm absolutely on this guy's page. Have a smaller part of an economy that's vibrant.
